What is syncope?

Syncope is a medical term for a sudden and temporary loss of consciousness, which can be caused by a temporary drop in blood flow to the brain.It is often referred to as fainting or passing out.
At Rotar Heart Health we offer comprehensive syncope assessment. Our initial appointment consists of 2 parts:

1. Patient evaluation questionnaire and Initial evaluation tests (12-lead ECG; and Blood Pressure assessment - supine, seating and standing at 1 min and 3 min intervals

2. Consultation with one of our senior cardiologists, who will review you past medical history, current symptoms and medications as well as patient evaluation form The Cardiologist may refer you for further cardiac assessment tests which most can be done at our clinic.
