What is a Pacemaker check?

RHH assists patients in obtaining, setting up, and troubleshooting cardiac devices. Regular checks and monitoring are conducted at our clinic, with detailed reports provided to both the patient and their healthcare providers.
Our team includes internationally qualified IBHRE Cardiac Device Specialist Technologists and Cardiologists, ensuring high-quality care and monitoring. Correspondence and updates are provided through various channels like phone calls, SMS, fax, mail, or email, as per patient preference.

FAQ

Regular in-clinic pacemaker checks are scheduled for comprehensive monitoring and necessary device adjustments. Visits are generally once every 6-12 months for pacemakers and every 3-6 months for ICDs.

Pacemaker checks are usually covered by Medicare for eligible patients. Regular pacemaker checks are recommended once every 6-12 months for pacemakers and every 3-6 months for ICDs.

Preparing for the test

To be able to access Bulk Billing you will be required to obtain a valid referral.

The day of the test

You do not need to do anything to prepare for your Pacemaker Check. Please continue all your medications.
No fasting is required.
Please allow 20-30 minutes for your appointment.

Results

The results of your pacemaker will be sent to your referring doctor. Your cardiologist will discuss these results with you and advise on any further steps if necessary.
